Time flies|felicity Jane |Megan kit!

Hi crafty friends,

Happy Friday!!

I started with a white background and added some black acrylic paint splatters.Believe or not I created this layout using the branding strip from the Felicity Jane paper pack. I cut the strips off one by one. I placed them in line going down the 12 by 12 Paper but staggered(is this the right word to use, can’t think of another one) but by this I mean off a little to the sides not a perfect line. After layering the strips on the paper I sew with my sewing machine, same color thread just different stitching in the middle of the strip.Just to add a little something but it does not take away from the beautiful paper. Next, I bended the paper upwards for some dimmention. I wanted the look of them floating on the page.

Creating the layered butterflies. The top butterfly were from the vellum pack, and they are beautiful but I did not want to just stick them on the page and be done. So, I used the Metal Die Set to cut some butterflies with gold glitter card stock, Vellum paper & cordinating cardstock from the paper pack. Sew in the middle of the butterfly with my sewing machine. If you don’t have a sewing machine you can staple the butterflies, it will still have the 3D look .

PS. The Metal Dies are  not part of the main kit.

Adding more layers to the page,I backed up my black and white photo with some of the Journaling cards that came in the main kit. I added one layer of foam to the back of the photo to pop it up off the page, as I knew I wanted to tuck items on the sides of the photo and around the photo I added more vellum pieces – the flowers and some chipboard ephemera that came in the kit. Plus that cute paper bow on the top.

Used the puffy alphabet stickers to create my tittle- change is good is from the stamp set.
